I can honestly say that doing this course was one of my best decisions. I have been spearing my whole life and only just decided to do a free diver level 1 course. I could already hit some good depth but after the course I learned that I had been making a few mistakes that were limiting me. I also had some bad habits which was an eye opener for me as I honestly had no idea before the course.

The instructor Matt has an insane amount of knowledge and will get you diving comfortably in no time. He explains the concepts extremely well and will spend the time to help you reach your goals. You can also tell that he loves his job which gives him a great attitude and interest when teaching the students.
The course was a 10/10 for me and I can't wait to work my way through the rest of them.

I did my instructors course with Matt and would highly recommend! He is super responsive and flexible which I really appreciated. He also made sure to tailor the program to my needs and skills which gave me more time to practice certain areas I was less comfortable with. A huge bonus is definitely the location - Airlie Beach is great, we saw whales and turtles on our way out. It was very cool to hear whales singing while you freedive. Make sure to check him out if you are in Airlie or thinking of doing a freediving course in Queensland!
